The idea for the show came to producer Roberto Ciurleo, after a conversation with a friend about Mamma Mia, a musical based on the hits of the Abba group. He decided to apply the same recipe for “I am going to love you”, not a biopic by Michel Sardou but a story created around his hits.
The action takes place during the maiden voyage of the liner “Le France” between Le Havre and New York, with the characters who skillfully take hold of the singer’s greatest classics, but also a few lesser-known nuggets.
Since this show has been running, the reactions of the public are beyond expectations with standings ovations and hits which are repeated in chorus. By going to see “I will love you”, you already know that you are going to sing!
