The captain of the French team was welcomed by more than 80,000 people at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium on Tuesday.
Kylian Mbappé is a Real Madrid player. The former Parisian was officially presented to the Madrid public on Tuesday, July 16 at the Santiago Bernabéu, more than a month after signing his five-year contract. For his grand arrival in front of 85,000 spectators, the captain of the French team delivered his first words as a Madrilenian, alongside president Florentino Perez and club legend Zinédine Zidane.
“I will give my life for this club and this badgesaid the 25-year-old in very good Spanish. I dreamed for years of playing for Real Madrid and today my dream has come true. I am a happy boy. (…) I am proud to realize my dream and become a player of the best club in the history of football”. After a failed Euro, Kylian Mbappé could play his first match in his new colours on August 14 against Atalanta Bergamo during the European Super Cup.
