The house painter had always dreamed of starting a big family, he who did not have an easy childhood. Indeed, throughout his youth, Olivier Gayat was constantly moved from home to home. This instability earned him as a teenager to become a petty delinquent. “When I was 14-15, I turned bad. I experienced police custody, I committed burglaries, I fell for concealment of weapons but rather than going to prison, I did community service“, he had confessed in 2013 to Berry Republican.

At the same time, Olivier Gayat met his wife Soukdavone. If with her, he quickly knew that he would like to commit and have a string of babies, Olivier Gayat was rather the type to experiment at the start. Guest of the show At Jordan’s, he revealed without filter the state of mind in which he was. “Me, I had a delirium at the age of 14. I wanted to ‘bang a Chinese girl’ because that was when I watched X movies and it was the fantasy in our neighborhood to go out with a Chinese girl. So I said to myself: ‘Come on, boom! I’m going to try to flirt with a Chinese girl'”, he confessed. Olivier then thought he could fulfill his fantasy with Soukdavone, although he came from… Laos. “I met Soukdavone in the street and I flirted with her. She went up to her friend’s house and I waited several hours for her to come back down. I was with my cousin, we were flirting with two“, he recalled.
An attention that did not really please Soukdavone. “I purposely stayed at my girlfriend’s because I didn’t want to talk to them. I didn’t know them. […] It scared me a little“, she reported. And then, over time, she ended up falling in love with Olivier. “What’s cute is that she came up to me and said in my ear: ‘It is with you that I want to go out’. And now, it’s been 32 years and nine children“, summarized the happy father of the family.
And even if in recent times, their couple has gone through complicated periods, he is still addicted to his other half. “She has everything. She has the generosity, the kindness“, he concluded.
