We know him as a cathodic troublemaker, Patrick Sébastien is far from just that. Popular TV star who is one of the masters of entertainment, he revealed another face through the book Live and be reborn every day (Xo editions). Because the soon-to-be 69-year-old host is also a man who has faced painful ordeals, first of all the death of his son Sébastien at 19 or his cancer for which he was operated on in secret. At the time of the release of his powerful and intimate work, he confided exclusively to the magazine Gala. In particular, he expresses himself without taboo on his relationship with Nathalie Boutotfrom which it is now separated.
In 1992, Patrick Sébastien met Nathalie, known as Nana. From their idyll is born a love story of thirty years and a daughter, Lily, adopted in Polynesia. The presenter of Biggest cabaret in the world defined himself as a feminist man, who does not own his wife, believing that she had the right to do what she wanted. And vice versa. In all frankness, he thus admits not having been faithful and explains his point of view on his state of mind: “I was unfaithful, but I told her from the start. Like all the women I’ve lived with. None was forced to accept, so there is no betrayal, things were clear from the start.“
For him, what takes precedence above all in a couple is respect. The one who offers in his book interesting reflections on human relations thus explains in the columns of Gala : “Love has nothing to do with possession or sex. As long as we maintain mutual respect. She was the one who took me to the hospital for surgery. And if she has a health concern, I’ll be there too. I don’t have a lesson to teach.“
Patrick Sébastien and Nathalie Boutot are now separated, but not divorced, since they remain married. They also continue to collaborate together since Madame is the manager of Monsieur’s production company. Describing his breakup as a “parting pattern“, he can boast of a peaceful relationship with the mother of his daughter Lily. Moreover, it is a sweet photo of the trio that he had recently published for the birthday of his child, a young lady who has well grown up !
