In the French musical landscape, she now holds first place: at 38, Juliette Armanet has been a must for several years, whether she sings sweet ballads or more fiery tunes. Natural and frank, the young woman exorcises his old traumas on stage and gradually reconciles with his bodywith whom relations have often been difficult.

Interviewed by Madame Figaro this Friday, October 14, the young woman notably revealed that some words were harsh before birth of her little Abel, four years ago. “When I was young, we told me that I could never have children, which traumatized me. Getting pregnant changed my relationship to femininity.”she explained in particular.

I had gained a lot of pounds, but I felt good, fulfilled. I perceived a power in my body which gave me confidence in myself. I even sang on stage until eight and a half months pregnant“, she recalled, she who had already explained that she had taken a doctor with her on tour so as not to risk anything important.

Helped by her husband,a lot on tour too“, she has been reconciled with her femininity for several years. But in her head, things are not so clear cut, quite the contrary. “Right now, I’m exploring my part of femininity. But my androgynous body, my attitude, being raised with two brothers meant that I never asked myself whether I was a woman or a man“, she notably confided.
