“I was told I had cancer”, Karine Le Marchand touched in the heart, highly moving testimony in video

It’s a project that is close to his heart. While she has been working with farmers for many years thanks to her show Love is in the meadowKarine Le Marchand decided to take an interest in this difficult profession as part ofa committed documentary soon to be broadcast on M6.

Sunday November 5, 2023, through her Instagram account, the host revealed several extracts from Peasant families: 100 years of history.Images through which the numerous subscribers of the beautiful 55-year-old brunette were able to see that it was a poignant film in which Karine Le Marchand gave the floor to “those who feed us with passion” so that they could talk about their love of the earth… but also their struggles.

Global warming, health scandals, falling prices in the face of competition from supermarkets, isolation: several issues were indeed addressed. And among these constraints, Karine Le Marchand particularly wanted to emphasize the fact that farmers were “20% more likely to be sick with cancer than the rest of the French population”.

In one of the extracts, a farmer speaks to the host to talk about his illness. “At 70, I was told I had cancer”he declares.

Karine Le Marchand, proud of this report

“I am extremely proud of this documentary. 1 year of work […]. Four seasons of life shared with six families of farmers who, for generations, have been fighting to practice their beautiful profession.”wrote Karine Le Marchand in the caption of her publication.

“You will discover their reality without fuss, and thanks to all the archives how unfair the system is, how farmers are dragged along throughout history by politicians and mercantile considerations. It is a committed film, which will to make everything understood, I hope, and above all to move away from Agribashing and towards Agriloving”, she concluded. A great project to discover soon in prime time.
