Chloé Thibaud, author of “Desiring Violence”, denounces in the franceinfo Talk on Wednesday May 8 the toxic masculinity and violence against women that cinema has taught us to love and believes that in 2024, we can no longer speak ” of violent love.

“Me, today, in 2024, I never want to be talked to about violent love again, exclaims journalist Chloé Thibaud, guest of the Franceinfo Talk on Twitch on Wednesday May 8. It’s an oxymoron ! My book is called “Desiring Violence”: obviously it’s a provocation and it doesn’t make sense. But the fact is that I was educated to desire violence, and today I refuse that.”

“This speech is over!”

“Even during my long literary studies, continues the author of Desiring violence, I was fed this little seed of crime of passion, which we find in many literary and cinematographic works. It’s over in 2024! And this is precisely what Judith Godreche claims and proclaims. This speech is over!”
