The pandemic did not put a stop to Zaz’s impulses. She had already decided to stop everything when the world confined itself to the spring of 2020. This downtime was more than necessary for her after 20 years of music and a good decade of phenomenal success. Isabelle Geoffroy, who is releasing her fifth album today, needed to find herself, to the point of wishing that “Zaz dies”.
