At 65, Claire Chazal is writing a new page in the book of her life. After many years at TF1 – she recently mourned the death of her colleague Jean-Pierre Pernaut – it was on public service that she found refuge. A career she pursues in Passage of the arts and Elysee 2022. The journalist sees the passing of time and, without making a drama out of it, she admits to being subjected to it, if only physically.
Asked by Gala, Claire Chazal has therefore agreed to open up with sincerity about old age, especially when, like her, you do a job in the image. The transition to sixty, the former companion of Patrick Poivre d’Arvor – now single and who says she is ready for love – did not experience it very well. His age, he is even to him”impossible to say“, in a loud voice. Despite everything, she resists the blows of the scalpel to improve this or that.”It’s a very difficult passage, I say it and say it again. I suffer from it. On the other hand, you can have a life as active as at 20, that’s what I do and it’s my way of pushing back the idea of age. Regarding the freshness of the skin, it’s a waste of time, but if I am not against small arrangements, I prefer an image which has its truth, its history, which is not artificial. And that woman is much more beautiful, I think“, she told the magazine.
Claire Chazal, who for the second time denied a rumor saying she was in a relationship with actor Roschdy Zem, also recognizes that, in terms of seduction, she feels that things are changing. “It’s much more complicated. The notions of seduction, of desire move away“, she says. And yet, she is not closed to the idea of love, she who has known great stories in her intimate life, in particular with PDDA, father of her son François. “I think it’s difficult to live together, but in any case, yes to a shoulder, yes to a beating heart, I’m ready to love again. But I could not envisage a sentimental life that would not be dictated from the outset by a passion. It’s a sine qua non“, adds the journalist.
