It’s no secret that for years, Marion Cotillard has been fighting for the protection of the environment. An activist alongside Greenpeace since 2001, the actress has put her notoriety at the service of the environment. In 2002, she notably refused to be the face of L’Oréal so as not to contradict her convictions… A committed position which did not prevent the actress from remaining human.
In a recent interview with Marie Claire and to be found in full in the magazine in December 2022, Marion Cotillard has also recognized some contradictions, speaking in particular of her passion for fashion and for clothes: “Here again, I consume much, much less than before, but I must admit that when I buy a garment today, it’s more to please myself than out of necessity – while questioning myself when even a lot”she said.
The same goes for her acting career: “Cinema is indeed a polluting industry”, admitted the internationally acclaimed actress. “But there are a lot of positions on which we can intervene. More and more companies are also offering audits to help film productions to be more virtuous. […] The United States is more advanced than us. […] I remember on the set of Inception where Leonardo DiCaprio, very committed to these issues, was there, solar panels provided the energy necessary for all the machines “, declared the mother convinced that there are always solutions to pollute as little as possible.
