The murder of little Lola continues to make sad headlines in the media. This Friday, October 21, 2022, the Minister of Justice Éric Dupond-Moretti was invited on the set of the show “C à vous” on Fance 5 and was indignant at the comments made by Cyril Hanouna a few days earlier.
Outraged by the barbarism of the murder of the 12-year-old girl, Cyril Hanouna had indeed declared live: “I think that the trial must take place immediately. It should be done in a few hours. It’s over. It is direct perpetuity. That’s what I would have done […] Personally, I think you have to live with the times. Today, society has changed. We can’t leave people like that anymore, be judged for weeks and weeks“.
Enough to infuriate the Keeper of the Seals who thus declared: I struggle to make justice better known, to show how difficult it is to render justice. How we must respect rules that our society has taken millennia to develop. And we brush it off with the backhand… Is that the conception we have of the rule of law in our country? […] If this is the era in which we live, we have really fallen very low! That’s the Middle Ages! […] The rule of law protects us. He protects us all. He also protects Mr. Hanouna […] To gag the rule of law to flatter low instincts and gain audiences is something that I personally cannot accept!”
“Let him do his job instead of talking about me”
Obviously, Cyril Hanouna could not help but respond to this attack and he therefore did so on the set of his show this Monday, October 24, 2022 on C8. “We will continue to do the show, to do live, we will continue to give our opinion even if it is rotten, even if it is not the same as everyone […] Don’t listen to the lecturers. The unique thought… here… there is not one who thinks the same”. he advanced.
“Even the ministers now wanna buzz about me […] What’s crazy is that the self-righteous, the lesson givers used that to divert the case, to say that it was inadmissible to say that today. Listen, I say it again. For me, it’s a very quick trial and life for the person who did this” he continued.
“What is inadmissible Mr Dupond-Morreti is that this person did that. That’s not what I said. And I think that all the French who watch us think that what is most inadmissible in history is this drama. Let him do his job and report to the French as soon as possible on this affair instead of talking about me” Cyril Hanouna protested before firmly declaring : “I do not need the murder of Lola to make the audience”.
Finally, Cyril Hanouna who is the father of two children, namely Lino (13 years old) and Bianca (11 years old) explained why he made his remarks: “I gave my opinion as a father, I spoke as a father of family”
