The target: a 25-storey residential building, and all around, the houses also suffered damage from the blasts. After the attack, neighbors gathered near the tent of the Ukrainian Red Cross : among them, Olga is still stunned. “I saw a ball of fire that bigshe describes. A very big fire, like an explosion! Katerina is sitting on a bench, a hot drink in her hand. Her husband runs a hand through her hair to comfort her: she has injured her foot and fingers with shards of glass. “I was sitting by the window with my computer and suddenly, boom! I was stunned, it knocked me out, I jumped! The edge of the window fell off”she says, still very agitated.

“How did I flee? I don’t know. My husband arrived, he took me, I screamed. I was shocked, but now I’ve calmed down. Besides, I said: oh no It won’t happen to us again. To hell with Putin!”she concludes, angrily.

For his part, UN Secretary General Antonio Gueterres was placed “safe”but said to himself “shocked”. For President Volodymyr Zelensky, these bombings were aimed at “humiliating the UN”and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister denounced “a heinous act of barbarism”. Ten people were injured in these missile attacks.
