More than 20 years after their last collaboration, Peter Gabriel and Robert Lepage are teaming up again for the British artist’s next tour, which will stop in Quebec and Montreal in September.

The Quebec director and playwright acts as a consultant for the development of the show that Peter Gabriel will present during his world tour i/oin 2023, confirmed the director of communications of the theater Le Diamant, Dany Martel.
Robert Lepage is currently in London to support his longtime friend. For the moment, it has not been possible to learn more about the nature of this collaboration.

The 73-year-old singer and musician will kick off the North American leg of his tour at the Videotron Center in Quebec City on September 8. Peter Gabriel will then pass through Ottawa and Toronto before taking the stage at the Bell Center in Montreal on September 13.
The i/o show will first be presented in several European cities in May and June. A new album will also be released in the coming months.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
A third collaboration
This will be the third time that the two artists have worked together on the design of a show by the ex-Genesis singer.
In 1993, Robert Lepage had developed the staging of the tour Secret World then that of the tour Growing-Up, in 2002. Each time, Peter Gabriel made Quebec City his headquarters. He had held rehearsals there before launching the two tours at the Colosseum.
Although Lepage was not involved in the production of the tour Back To Frontin 2012, he accepted that Gabriel and his musicians moved to the Dalhousie barracks for two weeks to rehearse what remains his last arena show that he presented in the capital.
During his last visit to Quebec, in 2016, Peter Gabriel was the star of the opening night of the Summer Festival, with Sting, on the Plains of Abraham.
Wave of announcements
The return to Quebec of Peter Gabriel adds to a series of concert announcements since the beginning of the week.
Tuesday morning, we learned that in addition to its stop at the Bell Center in Montreal, from September 8 to 10, the show Jurassic World will be presented seven times, from September 28 to 1er October, at the Videotron Center in Quebec.
On Monday, heavy metal band Megadeth revealed that Laval’s Videotron Center and Place Bell are on their tour schedule Crush The WorldMay 10 and 11.
According to TVA Nouvelles, comedian Mike Ward will be at the Videotron Center in July with his very popular podcast Mike Ward buggede.
Finally, Milky Chance is adding a second evening at the Agora du port de Québec. In addition to the concert on May 28, which is sold out, the German group will perform on May 27.
