“I learned it when my father died…”

This Friday, March 4, 2022, viewers of Canal + were able to find Josiane Balasko in the film “Un tour chez ma fille”. In fiction, the family unit is honored… Although it is undermined by countless twists and turns. The actress shares the poster with Mathilde Seigner, Jérôme Commandeur, Philippe Lefebvre and Didier Flamant to name but a few. The work by Eric Lavaine certainly fascinated Josiane Balasko. Renowned actress, she shines brilliantly in many registers. In addition to his career, the star is just as fulfilled in his private life.

In the city, the artist is the happy mother of two children named Marilou and Rudy Berry. For Josiane Balasko, the family: it’s sacred. “Marilou she amazes me all the time, Marilou is a great actress. She amazes me all the time because she really has incredible energy. And so here I am very proud of my daughter”she confided on the set of It’s up to you. Same story for her youngest son she adopted. “When I saw Rudy’s picture, and it felt exactly the same as when I saw my daughter in the clinic when she was born, I knew him,” highlighted George Aguilar’s wife on the show on the show “The sofa” by Marc-Olivier Fogiel.

Before breaking into the middle of the 7ᵉ art, Josiane Balasko grew up between Paris and its suburbs. A heavy family secret discovered late in life will completely change his life as a teenager. While her father of Croatian origin is dying, she will learn that she has a half-brother by her side. “I was very happy. I learned it when my father died, I was 14 years old. This brother was much older than me, but when the siblings grow, it is rather comforting. In all families there are secrets. At home, everyone knew about it, except the children,” analyzed Josiane Balasko for the magazine Our time.

And the duo obviously got along well. “My father was going to die of lung cancer, which was very poorly treated at the time. My mother decided to urgently call this son who remained there and whom everyone knew existed, except, of course, my brother and me. […]”, confessed the main interested party for Paris Match and to conclude philosophically: “He was like a substitute father until he passed away a few years ago.”
