Kylian Mbappé’s tweets are rare, but they often make noise. The day after a night of clashes in the Hauts-de-Seine following the death of Naël, a 17-year-old motorist killed by the police after a refusal to comply, the captain of the France team regretted, Wednesday June 28, this “unacceptable situation” in a tweet: “I hurt my France. (…) All my thoughts go out to the family and loved ones of Naël, this little angel who left much too soon.”

If the Paris Saint-Germain striker weighed his words, his teammate in Blues, Jules Koundé, was more offensive on the subject. During the night, the FC Barcelona defender also grabbed his pen, on his twitter account: A 17-year-old young man shot dead at point-blank range by a police officer for refusing to comply during a check. This is the reality of the situation and it is dramatic.”

Before adding: “As if this new police blunder wasn’t enough, the non-stop news channels are making a big splash out of it. Sets disconnected from reality, “journalists” who ask “questions” with the sole aim of distorting the truth, criminalizing the victim and finding extenuating circumstances where there are none. An age-old method of masking the real problem.”

Porter of the Blues, AC Milan player Mike Maignan also reacted on his Twitter account, regretting that “it is always for the same that being in the wrong leads to death.”
