in 2016 rushed to relay the news. The reason ? It turns out that the 34-year-old artist turns out to be the songwriter of Lara Fabian’s new single.
A unique collaboration on which Slimane spoke this Thursday, January 25, 2024: “At midnight, Lara Fabian’s new single comes out and we had the chance to do it together”he declared on camera.
And to return to the beginnings of this great adventure: “A few months ago Lara invited me to dinner… I hope she won’t be mad at me to tell this story, but it was important. We had dinner, talked a lot, it was a crush. And at the end, she told me ‘well here I am, I want to work on my next album with you’. I was very happy, but I confess to you, at the time it scared me badly because a voice like Lara is a gift when you’re a songwriter so I wondered if I was going to be able to honor this gift.
