“I have no right to be angry”, Cyril Feraud refuses to take a break after the death of the man in his life

This is the second part of this documentary series. For its second episode which will be broadcast on Monday November 6, 2023 at 11:10 p.m., C8 focused on “Its French people who entertain us”, whether they are nursing home, camping or television hosts. Indeed, the teams of journalists followed a personality well known to viewers for this second episode: Cyril Féraud.

Slam, The treasure map, the Champions Quiz, 100% logical… At the head of several programs on France 2 and France 3, the 38-year-old man therefore agreed to be followed by the cameras of the eighth channel to share the conditions in which they work and above all to tell about his job as a host , a childhood dream come true for him.

And for good reason, in an extract revealed by the channel’s X account (formerly Twitter), Cyril Féraud explains that he did not choose this career at random: “How many people would dream of pushing me down the stairs to take my place? And above all, how many people can say today, my job is my childhood dream? It was my dream of a kid.”

“I had no choice”

While the cameras of the documentary directed by Enora Despite followed Cyril Féraud on the set of one of his shows, the host also explained that his hosting cap had allowed him to overcome a big ordeal:A few days after losing my dad, I was live. I had a live show to do, I had no choice. So 3 days later, I had to start recording shows again from morning to evening. I had to be on point, have a smile, dance to the music. I didn’t have to be dressed in black, cloistered at home and crying. I have never felt as strong and as powerful as I did that day. As surprising as it may seem. When you work at the post office, when you work behind a computer, you have the right to be angry. Me, in my job, I don’t have the right to make a face in my job”, he remembered. As a reminder, it was in June 2019 that Cyril Féraud announced the death of his father on social networks via a poignant message.
