“I have more bananas to peel”

“My life is a daily struggle. There are mornings to get up and make coffee, it’s the end of the world. Because a childhood with an incestuous stepfather – I’m not afraid to say it today – also took me away from my sister, because my stepfather is her father”. It is with these very powerful words that Lio returned this Thursday March 16, 2024 in an interview given to Max on sexual and potentially incestuous violence which she declares to have suffered in her childhood. Shocking remarks, to which she nevertheless returned on Instagram this Sunday, affirming that they had been modified.

Indeed, Lio assures that he never attributed any allegations to his father-in-law, Alberto Nogueira, who is none other than the father of his half-sister Héléna Noguerra. Via Instagram, the ex-juror of the
New star
put things in context and recognizes that if she has things to reproach her father-in-law, the facts that she related in this interview are attributed to one of her friends, and not to Alberto himself: “Following yesterday’s publication in Le Parisien and Libération, incorrectly repeating my comments made in the Belgian magazine Max, I would like to dot the i’s. I was raped. I was in the back of the car. The steering wheel being in the front, it was obviously not my father-in-law who could have committed this rape. It was a friend of his who worked in the same company. I also recount this episode in Pop Model” she declared.

She talked about her father-in-law’s friend… but about him too

The singer continued with a meaningful metaphor, suggesting that she was not done with her musicologist father-in-law : “I have other bananas to peel with my father-in-law, but this is not where I will do it. Thank you for your sisterhood, because the facts are there.” The words reported by Max are nevertheless clear. The singer allegedly claimed in this exclusive interview to have become aware of the rapes she suffered at the age of ten only two years ago: “I found out two years ago that I was raped at the age of ten. Before, I just said: He’s a big idiot, friend of my parents, who took advantage of me for forty minutes.

But to continue, specifically targeting Alberto Nogueira: “My life is a daily struggle. There are mornings to get up and make coffee, it’s the end of the world. Because a childhood with an incestuous stepfather – I’m not afraid to say it today – also took me away from my sister, because my stepfather is her father. It all never ends.” SO, Max Did she really distort the singer’s words, or does the latter prefer to clear herself of it a posteriori? To be continued…
