Wave of layoffs on the other side of the Atlantic. This Monday, April 24, the channel FoxNews announced that she was separating from her iconic presenter, Tucker Carlson. This one, forced to leave the antenna with immediate effect according to the American channel. Only a few hours after this departure, a colleague was also dismissed, when he had been on the channel for 17 years.
It’s this time on CNN that the dismissal has taken place and this concerns Don Lemon, the channel’s star presenter. “CNN and Don have separated”first let the channel know before continuing: “Don will always be part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We wish him well and will encourage him in his future endeavours. The network said the morning show of M Lemon, which he hosted with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, would continue.”
Our colleagues from Morandini recall, however, that Don Lemon was on the air this Monday, April 24 in the morning. This one appeared smiling but above all, natural, giving the impression that he had no idea how his day was going to end.

A CNN journalist fired … without knowing it
On his Twitter account, the journalist spoke after this announcement and he did not mince his words. “I was informed by my agent that I was terminated by CNN”he let go before expressing his shock: “I’m stunned. After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I given the slightest indication that I would not be able to continue doing the work I loved within the network.”
Our colleagues from Morandini recall, however, that Don Lemon was at the heart of several incidents at CNN these last months. In particular when he accused Kaitlan Collins of having interrupted him too often on the air after a program or even, on Wednesday April 19, during a very tense exchange with the Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, when the subjects of the black history and the second amendment were brought up.
