Seventeen women filed a complaint against Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, including eight for rape. In total, at least twenty-seven women testified against the former star of TF1 JT in the press or in court, including two minors at the time of the alleged events. The PPDA case continues to spill a lot of ink.
Recently, Mediapart broadcast an exceptional program which brought together for the first time 20 women accusing the ex-companion of Claire Chazal of sexual violence and harassment. France Télévisions also announced that the 74-year-old journalist will no longer be the voice-over for the program ‘Une maison, un artiste’, which returns this summer to France 5. And to top it all off, the public channel was broadcasting on 28 last April an issue of “Complément d’Enquête” devoted to the Patrick Poivre d’Arvor affair, called “PPDA: the fall of an untouchable”. In this issue, a new woman filed a complaint for rape against the former star of the TF1 television news.
During an interview in “We redo the TV” on RTL, Jacques Legros spoke about his comrade whom he rubbed shoulders with for many years. The one who has long officiated as Jean-Pierre Pernaut’s joker has assured that he has seen nothing abnormal. “I could have been one of the first to know. I had my office not far away, we passed each other. I knew his entourage well, his editors, his assistant., he commented. The joker at the presentation of the Journal de 13 heures de TF1 on weekdays tried to explain why silence has long reigned around this affair: “It doesn’t surprise me because it wasn’t coming out […] Back then women didn’t talk and that’s not a reproach […] It seems so obvious today to talk about all this, to spread it, but it was not the case at that time”, he estimated.
