“I get tired of the Greek”, opposite Léa Salamé, Nikos Aliagas lets loose like never before!

After Camille Combal, Léa Salamé decided to invite another big name from the first channel on her set of What an era! this Saturday, June 10, 2023. And not least… Nikos Aliagas. The man who resists the passage of time, the wear and tear of audiences, first revealed by Christine Bravo for Free Union on France 2, where he represents Greece, then by TF1 which offers him the presentation of the star Academy in 2001. Today, the man who led a brilliant television career has decided to slow down and give up renewing his contract with the 50’Inside showwhich will be taken over in September by Isabelle Ithurburu, a defector from Canal+. Faced with a set made up of politicians Aymeric Caron, LFI deputy and former columnist for Laurent Ruquier alongside Léa Salamé in We are not in bed, and the former minister Roselyne Bachelot, who came to present the book of interviews written by the journalist Arnaud Wajdzik in which she evokes her career but also surrounded by the writer, ex-wife of Igor Bogdanoff, Amélie de Bourbon-Parme as well as weather presenter Chloé Nabédian, who left France 2 a few months ago to devote herself entirely to her fight for ecology, and glaciologist Heïdi Sevestre, Nikos Aliagas wanted to explain her new life choice. Photographer for several years, the star animator also came to talk about his passion for black and white shots, these portraits which tell a story and which he exhibits in Normandy, under the title The Spleen of Ulysses.A name evocative of its Greek roots and philosophy…

“I screwed up this year, I fell off stage…”

A passion that he wants to preserve, to which he must give more time… without doing the fight too much on TV, as he explains: “This year, I had the Star Ac’ plus The Voice, it’s still a lot of preparation… Being ubiquitous on the air, it also means being physically there, I screwed up this year, I fell off stage at one point on Star Ac, I hurt myself a lot, I fell almost 2 meters, I tore myself the abductors, freaked out, I got back on stage, I finished the show. Because it was my way of hanging on and to forget the pain… except that afterwards, we had to do the whole season of The Voice.”, says the husband of psychiatrist Tina Grigoriou, with whom he has two children, Andrea and Agathe. And to explain his work of introspection: “I say to myself: ‘it’s a lot of things, must not be more greedy than his desires, you have to be in self-knowledge. The middle ground is knowing when you are on your way to know how to say no there I did my part, now I’m going home. There is no point in overdoing it, nor more…”, explains Nikos Aliagas wisely.

And to conclude that he is not the only one to choose in this story: “And the viewer, one morning, he’s going to see you once too many, and he’s going to say: ‘I’m tired of the Greek’. I’d rather be wrong now that I’m free than later when I no longer have a choice” And to conclude on the subject: “I will miss this show, but I will have more time to take my photos…”Happy who like Nikos…
