“I drank like a mentally ill person”, dismissed by production, The Vivi recounts her brutal descent into hell

The internet court was merciless. In 2021, while he participated in the tenth season of The Voice in Vianney’s team, The Vivi was the target of the exhumation of old tweets in which he held sexist, racist and homophobic remarks. A lively controversy, a few years after the Mennel Ibtissem affair, led TF1 and ITV Studios France to remove the young man from the show, and all the sequences in which he appeared had to be edited in order to remove him. But three years later, the young twenty-year-old is going through real hell… After being accused of domestic violence by an ex-girlfriend, and having been questioned while in police custody, The Vivi plunged, and no longer controlled any of her demons

In an interview given this Monday, February 19, 2024 to videographer Sam Zirah, The Vivi speaks with emotion about her descent into hell. “After The Voice, I drank like a mentally ill person” he admits straight away, before discussing the serious repercussions that this brutal alcoholism had on his life: “(I was drinking) a liter five of Martini almost every evening (…) The first three months after The Voice, it was really catastrophic.”. The Vivi reveals that she saw alcoholism as a “loophole” following the controversies which had overwhelmed him, and which he had not anticipated when he applied: “There you are, you look so good, I was making excuses to have a party…”

His ex-girlfriend sent him to court

Returning to the legal dispute between him and his ex-girlfriend, who sued him for acts of domestic violenceThe Vivi reveals that she refused to go to her trial: “It didn’t help me at all.”. In January 2022, the young man was actually placed in police custody in Angoulême, following a New Year’s Eve which went very badly with his ex-partner. The latter, with supporting photos, which she published on her social networks, accused him of punches, kicks, insults, and damage in the apartment. He had been apprehended in an obvious state of alcohol, and had been placed in a sobering-up cell and in police custody.
