“I don’t like Aya Nakamura’s songs”, Emma Daumas (Star Academy) takes part in the controversy

She’s back in stores, 20 years after the release of her hit “You will be”, of which she prepared a remixed version with the author. Emma Daumas, revealed by Star Academy 2, on TF1, does not think she will have an invitation to sing at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games this summer, but she does have an opinion on the Aya affair Nakamura.

“I don’t listen to him”

This is what she confided on Sud Radio, this March 28, 2024. She who believes: “Controversies in general sadden me, it’s still crazy,” adds: “but what I think very concretely is that I find it very normal, logical that Aya Nakamura, who is the most listened to singer in the world, was asked to sing for this event that is the Olympic Games.

However, Jérémy Chatelain’s former promotional partner estimates with a laugh: “I’m glad she wasn’t asked to sing a song of her own, because personally that would have hurt me!“Faced with protests on the radio set, Emma Daumas assumes: “I don’t like Aya Nakamura’s songs, I have every right to say that.” She also maintains: “I’m delighted for her that it works for her, go ahead Aya smash everything with your music!“but warns: “I don’t listen to him”.

“It’s a coherent proposal, which makes sense”

To conclude, Emma Daumas finally congratulates the choice of President Emmanuel Macron, who would have chosen to bridge the gap between present and past, by inviting Edith Piaf to the show. The singer indeed declares: “I find it very beautiful that she was asked to sing a song by Edith Piaf, who herself in her time was a singer, the most listened to French singer in the world. And for me it makes sense, it’s a coherent proposition, which makes sense, even if I don’t like Aya Nakamura’s songs.”.
