The security service of the President of the Republic violently manhandled a young man who had just challenged the President at the Agricultural Show, Saturday, February 25.

“I disapprove of any kind of violence, but I’m always wary of videos because I haven’t seen what happened before,” reacted Emmanuel Macron on Saturday February 25, after a young man was molested by the president’s order service at the Paris Agricultural Show.
A brutal scene
A franceinfo journalist on site reports that the young man exclaimed:“Ie thermal renovation plan Mr. President!” Immediately, a member of the Security Group of the Presidency of the Republic (GSPR) approached him, grabbed him by the throat and violently pulled his hair before slamming him down on the ground.
The franceinfo reporter did not hear this young man utter insults. He was then dragged on the ground to the exit. The violent scene was filmed, the video is circulating on social networks. Emmanuel Macron did not attend the scene, the head of state continued his stroll, often under boos.
Emmanuel Macron challenged by “Last Renovation”
Interviewed later, Emmanuel Macron also said: “You must never be violent, you must always be in dialogue. So I invite these young people, this young person in particular, to come and dialogue at the Élysée Palace. I am in dialogue with everyone .”
Earlier in the day, the President of the Republic had already been challenged by another visitor, a member of the environmental collective “Last renovation”. The latter had urged Emmanuel Macron to “listen to scientific reports” on climate change.
