“I didn’t talk about it”, singer Najoua Belyzel urgently hospitalized after serious health problems

She was the guest of Jordan de Luxe, on C8, this February 26, 2024, and singer Najoua Belyzel looked back on the different challenges she had to face during her career. Often compared to Mylène Farmer, she explained having received malicious comments from the redhead’s fans, but also death threats from those who did not want her to talk about religion in her songs… The hardest part for her was undoubtedly his fragile health all this time….
“I had Covid plus pneumonia
In fact, this Monday, she is performing on the set of “Jordan’s” : “At one point, I had health problems, I don’t think I talked about it, I didn’t have the opportunity. It happened a little after confinement, when there was Covid, this unprecedented thing that happened to us all. I had lung problems, I had just recorded my album of covers of Marie Laforet, who is an artist that I love and admire enormously. And as a result, I had to stop during the promotion of this album for 9 months, I was hospitalized in Cochin in Paris, it was quite complicated”.

And to add: “It shook me up quite a bit, because you say to yourself I’m a mother of two children, what if I leave. I freaked out. I had Covid plus pneumonia , mixed, and it created something mutating in me. And then, I was on life support, I had to cancel the concerts, I was well cared for, I followed all the protocol, everything happened. has gone well. There is still a certain fragility in me because of that, but I am doing very well.”
“I was close to anorexia

Najoua Belyzel also fought against another illness, this one more taboo. This Monday, she revealed that she had been struggling with anorexia… And explained: “I lost a lot of weight, I no longer ate, I also became a migraine sufferer. My weight loss was due to the fact that I was doing so many things, that I was eating more. I was not far from anorexia, I I talked about it in one of my albums, a song called ‘Ana’ where I talk about EDs, anorexia, bulimia, all these eating disorder illnesses, it’s very important especially in women. I don’t know if it happens overnight, no it’s something that stands out.”.
