Frédéric Courant and Jamy Gourmaud, better known by the nicknames “Fred and Jamy”, have long formed a shock duo on the small screen. At the time, the two acolytes popularized science on France Télévisions in the cult program “C’est pas sorcier”. Unfortunately, the program stopped in 2013 and if Jamy had the chance to pursue his career as a host, Fred, for his part, lost his place. Two situations that have necessarily cast a chill between the two partners.
“I was thrown out in ten minutes”
Years after this radical break, Frédéric Courant is still very upset against production. Interviewed by our colleagues from Parisian this Friday, January 20, 2023, the latter returned to the circumstances of his departure. “I was dumped in ten minutes after more than twenty years of service, and the project we were working on together was done without me”he first explained before discussing his relationship with Jamy Gourmaud. “Let’s just say I didn’t feel supported by him. He must have been scared”he confided before adding “We got along very well. Without being friends, we were more than colleagues. But we weren’t married.
After years of estrangement, Fred and Jamy have finally reconciled. Last year, the two acolytes had the opportunity to reminisce about good memories during the inauguration of the Science Festival at the Natural History Museum. “This reunion freed us. He was embarrassed. But it did us good.”, said Frédéric Courant during his interview for Le Parisien. Now, however, they prefer to continue their journey on their own. It’s been several years now that Jamy created his YouTube channel. As for Fred, he is also present on the platform.
