“I didn’t even say goodbye to the team”, this figure from “Fort Boyard” fired overnight

Before Olivier Minne shows all the colors to the candidates on the Fort, it is Jean-Pierre Castaldi who was the host of Fort Boyard on France 2. Indeed, Benjamin Castaldi’s father hosted the game of France Televisions for three seasons and had a lot of fun. In fact, many were surprised when they learned of his departure from the program. But in reality, this decision does not come from him according to his revelations made this Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the show At Jordan’s.

Facing Jordan de Luxe, Jean-Pierre Castaldi recalled having officiated for Fort Boyard

for two years, from 2000 to 2002, and has very beautiful memories of it but regrets that we “kindly asked to leave”. To his great surprise, the production therefore asked him to leave even though his contract continued until 2003. Worse still, it was not the production which warned him directly.

Jean-Pierre Castaldi, fired without really knowing it

“I learned about it because some friends told me they were going to have a casting call to play my role”he revealed to Jordan de Luxe before continuing: “I called production and they told me, ‘Yes, indeed, we will not renew your contract’.” It was therefore by confronting production with its responsibilities that he learned of the end of his contract. But his eviction is not what is stuck in his throat. Even if it is linked, what the actor regrets is the fact of not being able to say goodbye to the teams of Fort Boyard.

“I didn’t even say goodbye to the team, nothing. They made a big deal for Cendrine Dominguez, but I left like that, like a thief”he regretted before however assuring that he no longer wants the production.
