“I couldn’t talk about it”

A historic moment was written in the annals of beauty in 2016. That year, France won the prestigious title of Miss Universe for the second time, marking a triumphant return after a wait of more than six decades. Iris Mittenaere, already crowned Miss France in 2016, was elected Miss Universe, writing her name in the posterity of the global competition. Seven years later, Diego El Glaoui’s fiancée is preparing to return to the famous competition. This time, it is as a member of the committee for the 72nd edition that the pretty brunette will participate.

This Saturday, November 18, 2023, Nabilla’s BFF will be alongside Halima Aden, Carson Kressley, Mario Bautista, Connie Mariano, Sweta Patel, Janelle “Penny” Commissiong, Giselle Blondet, Denise White and Avani Gregg for the event. A role of which she seems particularly proud.

“I’m in Panama”

This Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Iris Mittenaere took to her social networks to announce the big news to her community. After sharing the latest publication from the official Miss Universe Instagram account, the influencer lifted the veil on her selection. “That’s why I couldn’t talk to you too much haha”she joked in the story before revealing that she was currently “in Panama”. And to conclude: “Universe… I am coming. I missed guys so much! I can’t wait”.

As for the competition, France will be represented by Diane Leyre who also seems delighted to see her counterpart being part of the jury for the international election. “Frankly, I am very surprised to know that Iris is going to come, she hid it from us well. We were still together a short time ago during the Miss Nord Pas-de-Calais election…”, she confided to our colleagues at Figaro. It remains to be seen whether Miss France 2022 will win the title!
