live on the set of Do not touch My TV, Alex Goude has finally come out of silence. This Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the host published a long message on X, formerly Twitter, to present his sincerest apologies.
“As I am going to say this evening at Cyril’s, looking back on what happened last week: I could look for excuses but in reality, it was an inappropriate and unacceptable act which will not happen again. I I would like to apologize first of all to Valérie whom I thank for her kindness and friendship. But also to all the women and people I may have offended.” he began.
Obviously very affected, the former host of the M6 channel who has decided to withdraw from the channel continues: “This behavior is the opposite of my values and I blame myself even more since then. I of course realized the scope of all this, that at 50 years old, you still learn from your mistakes… Rest assured once again that this will not happen again. I thank Cyril for his trust and the channel. And I will continue to explain even more, particularly to the younger generation that I regularly support on issues of harassment… that an error arrived quickly and that every gesture, and word, counts.”
A hand on the buttocks which causes controversy
As a reminder, on September 27 when Cyril Hanouna invited his columnists to dance in a duo in the middle of the set, Alex Goude literally slipped by putting a hand on the buttocks of his colleague Valérie Benaïm live. Very quickly, Cyril Hanouna intervened to reframe the columnist who then rushed to apologize. “If it was shocking, I apologize. That wasn’t the goal. The goal was to have fun and since we have to be careful about what we have to do today, I’m being careful.” he assured, not failing to mention his homosexuality and therefore the absence of “sexual tension” in his gesture.
For her part, Valérie Benaïm also spoke a few moments later on X, formerly Twitter. “I see all your comments. Thank you for your support. Alex’s gesture was inappropriate. We explained it. Thank you Cyril Hanouna, my friend, for reacting immediately. The case is closed.” she said.
