“I cannot guarantee that all the baccalaureate exams will take place”, confided on Sunday March 19 on franceinfo the deputy secretary general of the National Union of National Education Management Staff (SNPDEN), Laurence Colin. Several teacher unions (SNES-FSU, FO, Sud and CGT) are called to strike against the pension reform, Monday and Tuesday, two days during which more than 500,000 candidates take the baccalaureate specialty tests. The representative of the directors of establishments admits that she “is not reassured” but that “everything has been anticipated to try to ensure the tests”.

The principals and directors of establishments have in particular “summoned supernumerary supervisors”. “We are even more vigilant than usual”, insists Laurence Colin. Supervisors will also be “tolerant and benevolent” in case of delay due to the transport strike. They will postpone the end of the test for candidates who arrive late “for a valid reason”.

Laurence Colin recalls that the SNPDEN is not “disagree with the unions calling for a strike” during the baccalaureate exams. “We don’t have to take the students hostage on an exam day”, denounces the deputy director of the SNPDEN who invites the teachers not to strike. “On the other hand, we are calling for the mobilizations which are planned by the inter-union but we are not touching the exams”she concludes.
