“I call for mobilization not only in the faculties, but throughout France”, affirms Rima Hassan

Rima Hassan will be questioned tomorrow by the police for acts of public apology for an act of terrorism committed by means of an online public communication service. “This surely refers to posts that I may have had on social networks. We will respond to this summons with my lawyer and we will know a little more tomorrow”explains Rima Hassan, number 7 on the LFI list to the Europeans of June 9, guest of “4 Vérités” of France 2, Monday April 29.

Is this summons legitimate? “No, very honestly I think that everyone is aware of these fairly abusive uses of these procedures. It must be included in the French climate but more broadly in an international climate of criminalization of voices which express themselves on the Palestinian question”estimates Rima Hassan. “The logic is also to denounce the unconditional support of Israel, which I think, very sincerely, persecutes the voices that express themselves on the Palestinian question. And, conversely, what we need is is to defend our fundamental freedoms and in particular our freedom of expression”, she adds.

Were the Hamas attacks of October 7 legitimate? “These attacks, of course, cannot be justified or legitimized and on the contrary they constitute war crimes or even crimes against humanity”says Rima Hassan.LFI participated in the pro-Palestinian mobilization which took place at Sciences Po Paris. “We were invited by students, who themselves gave us the floor”specifies number 7 on the LFI list for Europeans.

Is LFI exploiting the tragedy experienced by the Palestinians for electoral purposes in France? “No way. […] There is a spontaneous mobilization of these students, it must be included in […] an international movement”concludes Rima Hassan.
