“I was afraid to die”. On January 11, Florence Hardouin learns of her layoff from the French Football Federation (FFF), the heart of the general manager sinks following “this strong emotional shock”. She is the victim of a heart attack. Four months later, the former director general of the FFF speaks for the first time about what she has experienced and defends herself, Tuesday, May 16, in the columns of the newspaper L’Equipe.
Since dismissed, she brought the case before the industrial tribunal and filed a complaint for moral and sexual harassment as part of the preliminary investigation opened against its former president Noël Le Graët. She did not wish to speak on this last case for “let justice do its job”she claims to have suffered inappropriate behavior and inappropriate remarks. “I should have had the courage to say it more openly or denounce it. But you are afraid to denounce such things because you also care about your position”she regrets on a daily basis.

She also wanted to defend herself against the many comments made against her that she considers untruthful, wishing “restore the truth”. “They said I was a monster, it’s true that I’m demanding. I can be cash and direct, she explains. I have faults like everyone else but frankly, I am not the monster that has been described.
She also rejects the accusations of misogyny and homophobia put forward by employees, linked during the social plan that she implemented in 2021. “I worked for a lot of things at the federation concerning women. First on equal pay. Making the necessary adjustments is important. Push women to great responsibilities as well”she defends herself, also shocked by the accusations of homophobia.
