“I am neither wrung out nor fragile”declares Saturday June 3 Olivier Dussopt in We don’t stop eco on France Inter. The Minister of Labor was questioned about his judgment from November 27 to November 30 for “favoritism” in the case of the award of the water market in his town of Annonay (Ardèche).

The investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office, opened in 2020, targets a contract concluded in 2009 between the current Minister of Labor, then deputy and mayor of Annonay, and a water treatment group. The PNF suspects an arrangement around a contract concluded in 2009 with Saur, a water treatment group.

“There is an investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) after an article published in 2020”, explains Olivier Dussopt this Saturday. He adds : “The prosecution considered that there were five points that needed to be verified”. On these five points, he asserts that “four are classified” and “nothing [le] concerns in terms of corruption and taking of interest”. Regarding the last point on “a market passed in 2009, 14 years ago, the financial prosecutor’s office considers that there could be a form of favoritism”which the minister “disputes”. “I have convinced the prosecution of my good faith and my innocence on the first four pointscontinues Olivier Dussopt, and I intend to convince the court of my good faith and my innocence on the fifth”.
