Walter Astral is the duo formed by Tristan Thomas and Tino Gelli. Their 2 a priori distant musical worlds dedicate the same cult to the dreamlike and the absurd and harmonize in their mystical trances.
Walter Astral’s music is the meeting of psychedelic pop with the universe of techno, acid and house. Tristan’s drum machines and acid basses mix with the retro sound of Tino’s guitar and a banjo so old it provides quarter tones, like a saz.
They produced and mixed “Hyperdruide”, their first EP, in the former house of a hermit near Sancerre in Berry, by the fireside. Each song embodies one of the four natural elements and presents the human face to the nature that surrounds him.
