(Toronto) Hydro One announced Tuesday that David Lebeter has been named president and chief executive officer of the company.
Mr. Lebeter previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer of the electricity distributor.
The accession of Mr. Lebeter to the highest position in the company will be effective from 1er february.
He will replace interim president and CEO William Sheffield, who will help him with the transition.
Mr Sheffield had been given the interim job last year, following the departure of chief executive Mark Poweska, who got the same job at Enmax.
Prior to joining Hydro One, Mr. Lebeter held various senior management positions at BC Hydro between 2005 and 2019.
