It is not the fact of working in front of a screen all day that attracts people, but much more the advantages of being at home: household chores, the possibility of working outside the city, of quickly moving from work to sports activity, family time. So companies now need to think about how to deliver these benefits even in hybrid mode. […] It’s up to companies to tailor their perks to their talents and interests.
Vincent Fortin, president and partner of the advertising agency Republik
What telework has made possible is to restore, perhaps, this quality of life, this possibility of better organizing oneself, of reclaiming time.
Tania Saba, professor at the School of Industrial Relations
[…] Teleworking has made it possible to fully meet this need since we had to learn to give employees clear objectives, but also to give them the latitude to achieve them. […] Many have taken a liking to the elimination of travel time and often these people invest these hours in work, so it’s good for the company’s performance.
François Courcy, occupational psychologist, professor at the University of Sherbrooke and consultant at the Center de formation par l’action
Leaders must provide an adequate work environment that takes into account the flexibility needs specific to each individual. Some employees, to be productive, will need to continue to alternate between teleworking and face-to-face, and others will need to return to the office full-time. This requires listening to our teams, engaging in dialogue and encouraging frank and direct exchanges. Excellent leaders today show great empathy and create a sense of trust within their teams.

I come every other week because I have my daughter every other week. I can pick up my daughter at 3:30 p.m. […] It allows me this quality of life there: less time in transport, more flexibility, I can do yoga at 10 a.m. in the morning and it’s OK, I have a quality of life in my neighborhood, I’m present for pedagogical days, I ensure a presence at home and I have the opportunity to connect with colleagues.
