Hurricanes win fifth straight game

The Hurricanes’ support players answered the call and got away with a 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at the PNC Arena in Carolina on Sunday.

The Penguins took the lead early in the third period thanks to Brock McGinn’s ninth goal. On the game, the Hurricaines suffered a turnover allowing the “Pens” to make a quick counter-attack which overtook the local goalkeeper, Pyotr Kochetkov. Rickard Rakell also scored his 13th goal of the season.

The reaction of Roderick Brind’Amour’s men was quick with Brady Skjei’s net. Well positioned in front of the net, Jordan Staal completed the job by scoring the winning goal. Derek Stepan has the other winners’ net.

Kochekov ended his night with a win by making 23 saves. For his part, Casey DeSmith stood before 26 shots.
