Hurricanes 5 – Kings 4 | Carolina erases a three-goal deficit

(Raleigh) Sebastian Aho scored at 4:06 into overtime and the Carolina Hurricanes rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-4 on Tuesday.


Aho scored on the superiority – as did teammate Teuvo Teravainen for the tying goal midway through the third period.

Aho has threaded the needle in five straight meetings.

Brent Burns, Paul Stastny and Jordan Staal were the other scorers for the Hurricanes, who deserved a sixth straight victory.

Frederik Andersen stopped 17 shots for Carolina, which was down 4-1 early in the third period.

The club will play again on Wednesday in Buffalo.

Adrian Kempe (twice), Anze Kopitar and Kevin Fiala fought back for the Kings, who were finishing a six-game road trip with a 3-2-1 record.

Pheonix Copley made 25 saves.
