After the terror for the inhabitants and tourists of Acapulco (Mexico), the time has come to take stock of the damage. On either side of the seaside resort, vacationers film themselves. A man tried to hide in his hotel room. “I’m in the lobby next to the elevators. All the furniture is gone, everything is upside down“, says another. The wind rushed inside, and destroyed everything in its path.
Panicked tourists
In the room of a four-star hotel, the ceiling completely collapsed. “I hid in the closet, I prayed. I tried to calm down, even though panic took hold of me“, confided a woman. The tourists, distraught, gathered in a reception room to take shelter. The wind rushed into a hospital, in front of patients stunned by the power of the hurricane.
