Hunting accident in the Côtes-d’Armor: a sexagenarian died

It happened this Sunday, October 16, at the end of the morning, in the town of Goudelin, near Guingamp, in the Côtes-d’Armor. A 60-year-old died while participating in a wild boar hunt with her companion, president of the hunting society of Goudelin.

According to the Saint Brieuc prosecutor’s office, the 69-year-old hunter was progressing in a mowed cornfield, his rifle on his shoulder, the barrel pointing rearward when the shot went in the direction of its companion. Hit in the chest, above the heart, this 67-year-old Briton was transported by firefighters to Saint-Brieuc hospital. She died there a few minutes later.

His companion was taken into custody and then finally released. The doctor at Guingamp hospital who examined him felt that his condition was not compatible with police custody. The toxicological analyzes show that the hunter had not consumed alcohol or intoxicants.
