Hunters mobilize at the A16 tolls to inform about restrictions linked to avian flu

The hunters are distributing leaflets to make motorists aware of avian flu and the restrictions they claim to be victims of. You may see them posted at the toll booths at the Abbeville Nord exit, at the A16 exit towards Rue and Crécy and at the exit for Berck in Pas-de-Calais.

Since the beginning of the opening of waterfowl hunting on August 6 and each time outbreaks of avian flu are discovered, according to the protection and surveillance zones set up by the prefecture of the Somme , waterfowl hunters cannot carry their decoys.

The hunters announce one action per week as long as they have not won their case. They ask to meet the health authorities and the ministers of agriculture to explain to them that they do not understand why they cannot hunt waterfowl because of avian flu.
