A 70-year-old hunter died on Monday, August 26, in a hunting accident in Stonne, near Sedan, in the Ardennes, reports France Bleu Champagne-Ardenne.
The victim was shot in the chest in the woods of the commune. The hunter was still conscious when the firefighters arrived, before going into cardio-respiratory arrest. The emergency services were unable to resuscitate him.
The 74-year-old man who fired the fatal shot is in shock. He is being examined by a doctor. The police have arrived at the scene.
