For its 30th edition of Pink October, the annual campaign dedicated to the fight against breast cancer led by the Ruban Rose association intends to shed light on this disease which still remains the leading cause of death among women with more than 12,000 deaths per year… A chilling figure, even more so when we know that breast cancer detected at an early stage can nevertheless be cured in nine out of ten cases, hence the importance of being screened for everyone. every two years (between 50 and 74 years old). And it is precisely an important message of awareness about screening that Vincent Cerutti wanted to convey via his Instagram account.
“Thank you, Mom, for allowing me to talk, for the first time, about this fight that has been fought admirably for ten years. I love you as much as I admire your strength and your courage without ever complaining… Cancer is not taboo. Pink October (annual communication campaign intended to raise women’s awareness of breast cancer screening, editor’s note), is twelve months a year and it happens every day. Screening is really very important from 40 years”,he wrote on Wednesday October 18, 2023 in the caption of a video of him on the train in which he discusses his mother’s illness in more detail.

A cancer center far from Le Mans
