At 92, singer Hugues Aufray is a man in mourning. The artist announced to his thousands of fans, on Wednesday March 23 on Facebook, the death of his brother Jean-Paul. The latter, who was three years older than him, evolved in a very different environment from that of show business.
On his page, the singer writes: “Goodbye John Paul! My big brother has flown away! Thank you all for your messages. Friendships. #death #jeanpaulauffray #mathematics #quantumphysics.” A short message in the caption of a photo signed by photographer Tony Frank, representing him alongside his brother. He refers to the sharp and demanding scientific career led by Jean-Paul, physicist and historian of science. He had had the chance to be able to study in Vancouver and New York after having been a soldier in the army, notably during the time of the French Resistance in 1943, in the middle of World War II. He was the author of more than a dozen scientific works, including the latest, Newton or The Triumph of Alchemydates back to the year 2000.
