According to newspaper information The Parisian, Hugo Zemmour, one of the three children of Eric Zemmour aged 26, was involved in a serious traffic accident, this Saturday, May 6, 2023, in Paris. While driving, around 7 a.m., the eldest son of the far-right polemicist reportedly gave priority to a scooter in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, at the corner of rue Cassette and rue de Vaugirard. The driver of the two-wheeler and his passenger, seriously injured in the legs, were immediately taken care of by the emergency services. They were respectively transported to the Kremlin-Bicêtre University Hospital (Val-de-Marne) and to the Beaujon Hospital (Hauts-de-Seine) informs us daily.

Eric Zemmour’s son was not injured. Transported to the Georges Pompidou hospital, in the 15e district of the capital, to undergo samples there, he was then taken to the premises of the Legal Accident Treatment Service (STJA), located in 13e arrondissement. To be subsequently taken into custody for“involuntary injuries resulting in an ITT of more than three months, aggravated by blood alcohol levels and the manifest violation of an obligation of care or safety”, indicated the prosecution to our colleagues. Shortly after the accident, the LR mayor of the 6th arrondissement, Jean-Pierre Lecoq, posted a photo on Twitter of this “spectacular accident” and thanked the services that intervened: “Thank you to the municipal police and the cleanliness services for intervening after this spectacular accident at the corner of rue de Vaugirard and rue Cassette”, he tweeted in the afternoon. The photo indeed shows the violence of the accident. Hugo Zemmour, the politician’s eldest son, studied law and obtained a master’s degree in the history of Africa, the Maghreb and the Middle East at the Panthéon Assas faculty. Attracted like his father by a political career, the young man became a parliamentary assistant in 2016. He was then project manager in the Senate, between September and December 2020, for the group of the Centrist Union (UC).
