Monday March 4, 577 deputies and 348 senators will gather at the Château de Versailles, in Yvelines. At the end of the Congress, voluntary termination of pregnancy (abortion) should, barring any surprises, be enshrined in the Constitution.
France is preparing to become the first country in the world to explicitly include voluntary termination of pregnancy (abortion) in its Constitution. Monday March 4, 577 deputies and 348 senators will be gathered in the same chamber. The Congress will bring together the two chambers of Parliament: the National Assembly and the Senate. Only the Palace of Versailles (Yvelines) is equipped to accommodate so many elected officials. The session will be open Monday at 3:30 p.m. The parliamentarians will take their seats in alphabetical order, and not by political sensitivity.

Gabriel Attal will be the only member of the government to speak, then each political group will speak for an explanation of vote. Then it’s time for voting in rooms adjacent to the hemicycle.
