How to travel serenely when you are pregnant?

Flight

First of all, know that it is better to travel between your 4th and 7th month of pregnancy. Some companies refuse to take responsibility for boarding a pregnant woman more than 8 months pregnant.

  • Take the advice of your doctor and ask for a medical certificate that proves that you are fit to travel.
  • Drink plenty of water after takeoff and when you arrive at your destination, because the trip is tiring and dehydrating.
  • Wear compression stockings, with a prescription they are fully covered. They guarantee a better circulation of blood in the veins.
  • Feel free to walk back and forth during the flight.
  • Take insurance and check that everything is optimal, in case of any problem.

To travel by train

The train is efficient for long journeys because there are fewer jolts unlike the car!

  • Choose direct, non-stop journeys.
  • Especially if you are traveling alone, take the minimum with you so as not to be overloaded.
  • You can walk as you see fit, to avoid feeling heavy legs.
  • Position yourself on the outer seat side so that you are not embarrassed when you have to get up.

road trip

If you encounter difficulties during your pregnancy, such as a shortened cervix, avoid the car.

  • Always check that you have water with you.
  • Plan a portable fan to cool you in case of strong heat.
  • Avoid traveling during busy dates and times.
  • Take regular breaks to walk.
  • Always ask your doctor for advice before travelling.
