How to Have Sex | How not to make love

It’s the end of the school year, and three friends are going on vacation to party. Objective: dance, drink, and above all get laid. For one of them, Tara, it will be her very first time. And she really wants that to happen. Except that nothing is going to happen as planned, precisely.

It sounds cliché summed up like that, but it’s anything but. Or rather it is, until it isn’t at all. It’s that How to Have Sex (How to make Love, in French version), very first feature film by Molly Manning Walker, young British director, brings to the big screen all the subtle issues of consent, black on white, with all possible shades of gray. Social pressure, peer pressure, personal pressure included, going through all the bottles of fort, sleepless nights and all the painful wakeups, head in the toilet bowl, that you can imagine (or rather nightmare)… before that don’t start again.
