The other day I presented to you a “Short guide to destroying democracy in six easy steps”.
Always criticizing your country, never talking about the progress made, fueling distrust of traditional media, presenting terrorists as heroes, teaching children that everything is relative and that there are no absolute values, etc.
But I saved the seventh step for today – an essential step, the most effective of all for messing up a country and unraveling the social bond:
Dividing society into small communities and reducing a person’s identity to the color of their skin.
This is the best strategy to do the maximum damage in the minimum amount of time.
CRIMINALS “IN SPITE OF THEMSELVES”
Take the open letter that Murielle Chatelier and Yannick Lacroix, both from the Association of Quebecers Against Racism, published in The Press last Tuesday (“Justice for Black People: Towards a Two-Tier System?»).
They tell us that the federal Department of Justice recently released a report stating that the current justice system is racist and that a parallel system should be established to judge black people.
But what a good idea!
One system for whites, one system for blacks!
You broke the law and you’re white? You’re a criminal. You broke the law and you’re black? You’re a poor victim of the system that made you break the law…
This is the best recipe for fueling racial tensions.
Hey, that reminds me of this book about the Bélanger street gang that was published last year: “It was necessary to defend oneself: the story of the first Haitian street gang in Montreal.”
During the 1980s, the Bélanger gang reigned terror in the north of the city. However, according to the two authors of the book, if the members of this organization “got involved in burglaries, shoplifting and pimping”, it was because of poverty and the lack of job opportunities.
In short, if this gang of blacks was spreading terror in the black community, it was because of… the whites!
As if the vast majority of black citizens did not earn an honest living in the 80s! And did not respect the law!
It must be said that the co-author of this book praising a violent street gang is Ted Rutland, a professor at Concordia University who, in X, recently wrote, regarding the pro-Palestinian demonstrations, that it was necessary to “block the highways, the ports, the railways.”
This gives you an idea of the ideology that drives him…
THE PERFECT RECIPE
As essayist Rachel Khan (need I mention that she is black?) says in her book Racythe primary ambition of anti-racist and identity activists “is not justice and equality, but division.”
Or, to use the words of Delphine Horvilleur, “some [les Blancs] are guilty for what they are and others [les “racisés”] are innocent whatever they do.”
“Instead of animating openness,” Rachel Khan continues, this identity assignment, this mania for confining people to their race, religion or sexual orientation, “narrows the world and reduces thought.”
The youth of the 80s and 90s (that of Johnny Clegg, Bob Geldof and the Colocs) wanted to break down the walls that separated ethnic groups. Those of the 2020s continue to build them.
And after that, they’ll tell me that I’m the one who turned my back on the left?
“Identity is a lasagna,” says author and actor Ismaël Saidi. “A set of layers. Lasagna is the only possible response to the “identitarians,” the “indigenists,” the “wokists,” the “Islamists,” or whatever else, who never stop talking about the supposed purity of their history, their origins, their beliefs.”
In short, you want to destroy your society?
Advocate identity confinement, and grant privileges to those who have the “right” skin color or the “right” sexuality, you will see, in 10 years, max, everything will fall apart.
ALICE MUNRO “CANCELED”?
In a text published in the Toronto Starthe daughter of the great Canadian writer Alice Munro, who was assaulted by her stepfather as a child (the man pleaded guilty to indecent assault in 2005), claims her mother knew what was happening but did nothing.
This allegation is all the more shocking given that the Nobel Prize winner for Literature has always been considered a great humanist.
Will the wokes, who are always quick to “cancel” “controversial” artists, demand that Ms. Munro’s books be removed from libraries?
Or will they make an exception because she is a woman?
AIRLINES DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS
My eldest daughter who lives in Australia came to spend a month in Montreal. She was supposed to return to Australia at the beginning of the week, but her flight was cancelled three times by Air Canada.
Luckily, my daughter has been living with her mother for the past few days. But if she had been living in a hotel, how long would it have taken her to get her money back? Not to mention the days of work she missed…
There is a growing feeling that airlines don’t care about their customers. Aren’t we supposed to have a passenger charter?
VICTIMS OF FALSE ALLEGATIONS
This week, two police officers who had been accused of racial profiling were cleared of all suspicion by the police ethics commissioner.
And a Montreal woman who falsely accused a man of raping her was ordered to pay $200,000 for “ruining his life.”
Proof that we should never jump to conclusions and condemn without proof, because, yes, it happens that “alleged victims” lie.
It’s boring, but that’s life.
