According to forecasts from the Banque de France, French growth should reach + 6.7% this year. Between January and September 2021, 515,000 jobs were created in the private sector.
The forecasts of the Bank of France exceed expectations: growth should reach + 6.7% this year, and GDP now exceeds its score before the health crisis. It is especially in industry that activity is increasing, with order books that are filling up again, especially in the pharmaceutical sector. The France 2 teams visited a company that manufactures dental products and whose activity has rebounded this year. This increase thus allows new investments and job creation.
The sectors which have developed strongly are, logically, those which have suffered from the closure imposed by health measures, such as hotels and restaurants. In a cafe, the customers are back. A lady seated on the terrace confides: “I go there four or five times a week”. “At the start of the confinement, there was a lack. It allowed us to meet again among friends”, details another client. Consequence: in the private sector, 515,000 jobs were created between January and September 2021. On the other hand, some companies are struggling to recruit and have to deal with supply difficulties.
